June is Pride Month, where the world comes together to celebrate and honor the LGBTTQ+ communities. Traditionally, the Vancouver Pride Festival occurs in the first week of August, and the Vancouver Pride Parade takes place on the first Sunday.
In White Rock, we celebrate Pride on the last week of July.
Although this year, the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted festivals and celebrations, the White Rock BIA is delighted and proud to recognize the LGBTTQ+ members of our community. We will strive to recognize the diversity in our community and make White Rock more inclusive.
The BIA is proud to feature the following businesses who have come forward as LGBTTQ+ friendly:
Ashberry & Logan
Owned by White Rock Pride Society President Ernie Klassen, Ashberry & Logan is located in the heart of White Rock, selling beautiful floral designs and bouquet arrangements. The floral studio features handmade soaps (from Nat’s Lotions and Potions) that are available for $5.00 each or 3 for $12.00.
