The moment you’ve been waiting for all summer… the Uptown Music Festival is back on August 8th, 2026 at Miramar Plaza (15181 Thrift Ave), from 12:30 until 6:00PM!
Jennifer Scott is a Vancouver-born vocalist and jazz pianist specializing in jazz, blues and world music. Jennifer is considered one of the most important jazz artists working in Canada and the United States today. From sold-out concerts in San Francisco to exclusive local club performances, Jennifer’s performance experiences have been varied. Jennifer has appeared at Jazz Festivals all across Canada and in several of the United States. She has also appeared with such jazz luminaries as: Tommy Banks, Don Thompson, Kenny Wheeler, Skywalk, and Hugh Fraser, to name a few.
Headlong Hearts’ original songs arrive with gorgeous vocals and zesty acoustic instrument work. Audiences are inspired by their lyrics and melodies and fired up by their playing and stage presence. Their second original album Creatures of Habit came out in 2025.
Krystle Dos Santos is a 2x Western Canadian award winning singer/songwriter and performer. Her award winning self titled album was released in 2008, followed by Fame Fatale in 2011. BLOOM|BURN, her 3rd studio release, awarded her the WCMA for R&B artist of the year in 2020. From singing on stage with Stevie Wonder and Michael Buble to theatre performances on stages all around North America, Dos Santos brings her eclectic style, powerful vocal prowess and magnetic charm to every performance she delivers. Catch her sharing the story of Canadian civil rights icon Viola Desmond in her original co-creation, Hey Viola!, or with her new country/rock project Orchard Sky in venues across our beautiful country.
Wasakaka All-Stars is a locally founded independent latin project formed in 2016, dedicated to bringing top-notch quality entertainment with every performance. They feature authentic Latin rhythms and timeless best hits of traditional Salsa music. Get ready to groove with their salsa repertoire!
FREE family-friendly fun will be provided all around the plaza. Get hands-on with our musical instrument petting zoo, then catch flashy circus performances- it’s free entertainment you don’t want to miss.
A mid-summer festival calls for seasonal essentials! Arrive early with a lawn chair for a comfortable viewing experience, dine-in or grab takeout from one of our amazing local eateries, bring sunscreen, and wear comfortable shoes for all those dance moves.
Free parking is available at Thrifty Food’s underground parking. Register your license plate to receive 90 minutes free of charge. If you would like to extend your stay, you may add extra time on top of your ticket.
