White Rock’s favourite summer events, the Concerts at the Pier, presented by TD Ready Commitment, are back for another fabulous year of live music and community. 
The 2024 concerts promise to be one of the best years yet, with 5 concerts taking place through July and August on the picturesque White Rock waterfront. 
 
The best part is that all these shows are FREE. 
 
Here’s your essential guide to the 2024 Concerts at the Pier, Presented by TD Ready Commitment, so that you know all the key details to making the most of one of the concerts. 
 
It’s going to be a great summer of FREE live music in our community- we look forward to having you join us. 

THE ESSENTIALS:

  • All concerts are FREE to attend, and do not require any registration.
  • BRING a picnic blanket or lawn chair.
  • BRING what you need to be comfortable outdoors- sunscreen, water, and a light jacket if you get chilly at night.
  • Don’t forget to pick up takeout from one of our amazing local restaurants to enjoy as your watch the show. Or, for the West Beach concerts, secure your spot on one of White Rock’s famed patios!

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR THE JULY 4 CONCERT: We will be closing Marine Drive to vehicles from Maple Street to Vidal from 6 pm to 10:30 pm in anticipation of the large crowds.  Please plan your trip accordingly.

CONCERT #1: 54-40

With opening act Nadine States with Rob Montgomery

The 2024 season will be kicked off by one of the most beloved and exciting bands in Canada: 54-40. We are so thrilled to have these Canadian Rock Legends opening the series on July 4th!

About 54-40: Over the course of 40+ years of performing and recording, 54•40 has not only made their mark on the Canadian music industry, but the entire cultural landscape. Led by chief songwriter Neil Osborne, 54•40 has carved out a legacy of gold and platinum albums and an outstanding reputation for their live performances that carries through to this day. With decades of hit songs and more in the making, the secret to 54•40’s longevity is their ability to redefine and reinvent themselves.

CONCERT #4: BARNEY BENTALL & THE LEGENDARY HEARTS

When: 7:00pm, Thursday, August 22nd, 2024

Where: East Beach, Grand Chief Bernard Robert Charles Memorial Plaza Parking Lot

 

CONCERT #5: AMERICAN ROCK LEGENDS- The Music of Springsteen and Seger

When: 7:00pm, Thursday, August 29th, 2024

Where: West Beach, Memorial Park
