Our city by the sea is also home to over 80 acres of parkland, with a wide selection of outdoor activities available for residents and visitors alike.

Enjoy a walk in the trails, a morning run, or a socially-distanced picnic with your Safe 10- you’ll find there are plenty of leisure opportunities in White Rock parks and trails.

Open from dusk until dawn, here are a few must-visit White Rock parks for you to explore (for a comprehensive list, check them out here):

Bayview Park, 14856 Marine Drive

With its prime oceanfront location, Bayview Park and its Outdoor Plaza is a spectacular place to exchange wedding vows. The plaza is conveniently located on the west end of White Rock’s promenade, close to Marine Drive restaurants and businesses! Enjoy a quick dine-in or take-out picnic meal with your visit.

 

Bryant Park, 15150 Russell Ave

One of White Rock’s hidden jewels, Bryant Park offers picnic tables and meandering walkways. This dog-friendly park provides the perfect location for your family outings.

 

Hodgson Park, 15050 North Bluff Road

Near White Rock’s more urban location, you can find Hodgson Park. It is in uptown White Rock, next to local residential complexes and grocery stores and bus stops to nearby cities.

 

Dr. R.J. Allan Hogg Rotary Park

Anchored between Roper and Buena Vista avenues, this 2-acre park spaciously offers green landscapes, gardens, and guaranteed relaxing time for your walks, jogs, and picnics.

 

Ruth Johnson Park & Trail, Generations Playground, 14600 North Bluff Road

The largest park in White Rock includes tennis courts, baseball and soccer fields, an off-leash dog area, a horseshoe pitch, and a running oval. Nearby is also the centennial arena. Generations Playground is an all-abilities outdoor facility for children and adults alike. Next to the park and playground is a trail that will take you down to the west end of White Rock beach.

 

Memorial Park, 15300 Block Marine Drive

The waterfront Memorial Park is located at the entrance of White Rock Pier and offers amphitheater seating, a water-spray pad, and grassy areas perfect for picnics and relaxation. You should not miss this White Rock destination—no pier pressure!

 

Stager Park, 15200 Columbia Avenue

Stager Park locates at the intersection of Johnston Road and Columbia Ave, a perfect stop on your walk down to White Rock beach. The Park is named after White Rock’s Margaret Stager, a dedicated community volunteer. While there, enjoy the panoramic ocean view, and the unique local home architecture!
