Uptown

 

 

 

 

Great shopping and walkable streets define Uptown White Rock. You won’t need a car to choose the perfect gift from its selection of great retailers.

Enjoy two of White Rock’s many parks (Bryant Park and Hodgson Park), the beautiful Miramar Plaza (home to the White Rock Farmers’ Market on Sundays from May to October) and a stunning view of the ocean as you access the many beauty, personal care, and health services available in Uptown.

Blessed with a funky vibe, Five Corners is the home of White Rock’s arts & culture community. In addition to the arts scene, you can find many personal, spa, health, and fitness services at Five Corners.

Five Corners also hosts a number of White Rock’s culinary gems, including several award-winning restaurants.

East Beach

 

 

 

If you’re looking for a charming seaside community vibe, you’ll find it in East Beach. Between eclectic retail shopping, fish & chips, and a plethora of ice cream shops, you’re set for a great day on the waterfront.

Be sure to get an ice cream cone and visit Grand Chief Bernard Charles Plaza and Terry Parr Plaza – perfect places to gaze at the ocean! There are also wonderful restaurants where you can enjoy delicious meals on sun-drenched patios.

Inspired cuisine and White Rock’s relaxed charm come together on West Beach. West Beach is home to some of White Rock’s most famous restaurants, as well as outstanding shopping, snacking, and ice cream.

West Beach is home to our beloved Pier—Canada’s longest, and an iconic landmark of our community. Be sure to bring your family down and make some memories of your own! Watch the beautiful sunsets from the plaza overlooking Memorial Park and the White Rock Museum and Archives.

The City of White Rock is governed by a Mayor and six Councillors, elected every four years by White Rock residents. This team of leaders, with support from several Citizen Advisory Committees, are responsible for setting the City’s policies in accordance with the Local Government Act.
