Under the current City of White Rock BIA Bylaw 2075, the White Rock business community is divided into four geographical areas; the Uptown Commercial Area, the Five Corners Commercial Area, the East Beach Commercial Area and the West Beach Commercial Area. If you are a Class 7 Property Owner within the defined areas, or if you rent your commercial space from a Class 6 Property Owner, you are automatically a White Rock BIA member.

The Four Business Districts:

  • Uptown is bordered to the North by North Bluff Road, lies between Martin and George Streets, provides business services and retail, but also is the cultural heart of White Rock with art galleries, live music and theatre and the White Rock Community Centre.
  • Five Corners, which extends from Prospect Avenue and Johnson Road to Pacific Avenue and Fir Street, is gaining a reputation as a vibrant and unique shopping destination, well known for its boutique shops, restaurants and health and wellness services.
  • West Beach, which extends from Oxford to just past the iconic White Rock Pier, is unique for its mix of casual and fine-dining, event & festival hosting as well as the landmark White Rock Museum and Archives.
  • East Beach, which is located between Balsam & Kent on Marine Drive features many family style eateries and is a destination point for a wide variety of beach activities.
